2025 National Cocktail Day Recipes

Not that we need a day to celebrate cocktails, but National Cocktail Day is Monday, March 24. 

We've rounded up a collection of cocktail recipes to help your bar and restaurant guests raise a glass to what might be the best holiday ever invented.

The Grand Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients:

0.75 Parts Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge

1.5 Parts Tequila

0.75 Parts Fresh Lime Juice

0.25 Parts Agave Syrup

4 Cubes Fresh Watermelon

Directions:

  1. Pre-Chill Your Shaker By Stirring A Few Good Quality Ice Cubes In It; Then Remove The Ice And Excess Water.
  2. Pre-Chill A Cocktail Glass By Storing It In The Freezer For At Least 15 Minutes Before Serving, Or Filling It Up With Ice While Concocting The Cocktail.
  3. Gently Muddle The Watermelon Cubes In The Base Of The Shaker.
  4. Add All The Other Ingredients In The Shaker.
  5. Add More Good Quality Ice Cubes And Shake Vigorously.
  6. Strain Into The Pre-Chilled Cocktail Glass (Serve With A Watermelon As A Garnish).

Calabasas Combo

Ingredients:

2 oz 818 Tequila Blanco

1 oz Lime Juice

4 oz Grapefruit Juice

0.25 oz Agave Syrup

2 oz Grapefruit or Lime

Sprinter Vodka Soda

Directions: 

  1. Combine all ingredients except Sprinter Vodka Soda in a cocktail shaker and shake until frosty.
  2. Pour into a rocks glass and top with Sprinter Vodka Soda.
  3. Garnish with a lime wheel or grapefruit slice.

Blood Orange Crush

Ingredients:
1 ½ Parts Courvoisier Vsop
½ Part Red Aperitif (Amaro, Aperol® Aperitivo, Or Campari® Bitter)
¾ Part Fresh Lemon Juice
 ½ Part Orange Juice
Top With Blood Orange Soda

Directions:

  1. Build all ingredients into a tin, except the soda and shake vigorously.
  2. Pour into a Highball glass ½ full of cobbled or pebble ice.
  3. Add the soda water, then pack in extra ice.
  4. Garnish with a blood orange slice.

Ancient Greek Apertif

Ingredients:

2 parts KLEOS Mastiha Spirit (1 part= 1 oz, or 30ml)

1 bar spoon Greek olive brine

London Essence Rosemary Grapefruit Tonic

Directions:

  1. Pour KLEOS and Olive brine over ice

  2. Top with London Essence Tonic

  3. Garnish with a Greek Olive

 

 

Talkhouse Encore Blood Orange Tequila Fizz

Ingredients:

One can of Talkhouse Encore Blood Orange Tequila Soda

1.5 oz of preferred Tequila

1 oz Lime Juice

2 oz ginger ale or ginger beer

1 Blood Orange Slice for garnish

Directions:

  1. Fill a chilled glass with crushed ice.
  2. Add a blood orange slice.
  3. Combine the Talkhouse Encore Blood Orange, tequila, lime juice and lime syrup.
  4. Shake well for about 20-30 seconds then pour over the ice.
  5. Top with the ginger ale/beer.

Gold Fashioned   

Ingredients:

2 oz Taffer’s Browned Butter Bourbon

3 dashes Angostura Bitters

2 dashes plain water (Optional)

Directions:

  1. Place block ice in rocks glass..
  2. Add ingredients over block ice in glass.
  3. Garnish with orange peel and cherry on pick and serve.

Cherry Blush Cocktail

Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. Tito’s Handmade Vodka
1 ½ oz. 365 Cherry Limeade
1 oz. Lemon Sour 
4 ea. Fresh Raspberries 

Directions:

  1. Build ingredients with ice in mixing tin.
  2. Shake vigorously for 10 seconds
  3. Strain into rocks glass with fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with “Baby’s Breath” flower.

METAXA Flower Fizz

Ingredients:

1.7 oz METAXA 5 Stars

0.8 oz Elderflower Liqueur

0.7 oz Lime Juice

2 oz top up Lemonade

Directions:

  1. Pour METAXA 5 Stars, Elderflower Liqueur and lime juice into a wine glass with ice and stir well
  2. Top up with Lemonade and garnish with a lemon wedge and an edible flower
