Memorial Day Weekend marks the start of grilling season, and your bar/restaurant can get in on the trend by adding some of these BBQ-inspired food and drink recipes to your menus!

 

 

BBQ Food Recipes

 

skrewball bbq ribs

Skrewball Pork Ribs

Ingredients: 

1 rack of pork ribs  

2-4 tbsp raw honey  

1-3 tbsp maple spice rub  

1 stick butter (salted)  

3-4 oz Skrewball   

2-3 oz pineapple juice   

Directions:

Cover ribs lightly in raw local honey. Evenly cover the rack with a generous amount of maple spice rub. Set grill to 275°F and cook for 2.5 hours. Pull out and flip ribs meat side down on aluminum foil. Rest ribs on one stick of butter, Skrewball Whiskey and pineapple juice, wrap ribs in aluminum foil and continue cooking ribs at 275°F for an additional two more.

Shiner Bock Beer Braised Bratwurst 

Ingredients:

5-10 Mountain Primal

 Meat Co. Bratwurst

Package of Brioche Buns 

1 Shiner Bock Beer

1 Large White Onion – thinly sliced

1 Tbsp. Favorite BBQ Seasoning

1 Foil Pan

Directions:

Heat your grill to 375. Pour 1 bottle of Shiner Bock into your foil pan and toss in your thinly sliced onions and favorite BBQ seasoning. Warm on the grill for 15-20 minutes. While that is warming, enjoy a sip of cold, Shiner Bock. Place brats into the beer, onion mixture and simmer for 15 minutes. Pull and finish off on the hot grill grates for 5-10 minutes or when the internal temperature is 160 degrees. Serve in the Brioche Bun with the onion mixture and your favorite condiments. 

 

The Proper Whiskey Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Proper No. Twelve Whiskey

1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper

1 tbsp Garlic Powder

1 tbsp Onion Powder

1/2 tbsp Salt

3 cups Ketchup

1/3 cup Cider Vinegar

1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar

1/3 tsp Hot Pepper Sauce

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pot and bring to a boil. Once boiling, lower heat and let sauce simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over wings or ribs and enjoy!

Fiery Red Apricot Wing Sauce

Ingredients:

3/4 cup The Perfect Purée Apricot Puree, thawed

1/2 cup sambal oelek (red chili garlic sauce)

1/2 cup Tabasco Chipotle Pepper

1/2 cup unsalted butter

2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup granulated sugar

2 tbsp. cider vinegar

2 tsp. kosher salt

Directions:

Whisk all ingredients together and bring to a boil and adjust seasoning as needed. Drop wings or tenders into warm mix and toss in bowl or in sauté pan and serve. 

 

BBQ Cocktail Recipes

Woodford Porch Swing

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz. Straight Bourbon Whiskey

3/4 oz. Lemon Juice

1/2 oz. Honey

6 oz. Peach Tea

Directions:

Combine ingredients into a tall glass and stir. Garnish with a slice of peach or lemon wheel.

The BBQ Bloody

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Kurvball Whiskey

3 oz Bloody Mary Mix 

1/2 oz Lemon juice

Splash: worcestershire sauce

Pinch: cracked pepper

Directions:

Mix ingredients together and pour into a pint glass. Garnish with all the greenery you desire, but don't forget a bite of BBQ. To make the cocktail spicy, add tabasco sauce.

Anejo Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

2 oz Flecha Azul Añejo Tequila

¼ oz Simple Syrup (1:1 Sugar + Water)

2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Orange Peel

Orange Slice for Garnish

Directions:

In a rocks glass, add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters, simple syrup, and Flecha Azul Añejo Tequila into ice and stir well. Express the oils from an orange peel and garnish with an orange slice.
