Earlier this week we brought you a round-up on non-alcoholic holiday cocktail recipes. Here is the other side of the coin—alcoholic holiday cocktail recipes that make great additions to your seasonal cocktail menus!

 

Three Kings

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. JH Stillworks Barrel Aged Great Grey Gin

1/4 oz. Zirbenz Stone Pine Liqueur

1.5 oz. The Perfect Purée of Napa Valley Pomegranate, thawed

1/2 oz. blood orange juice

1/4 oz. Amrita Cranberry Cordial (can substitute with cranberry juice)

1 drop frankincense organic essential oil

Directions: 

Age JH Stillworks Barrel Aged Great Grey Gin in a barrel for six days. Combine all ingredients in a shaker, add ice and shake until proper dilution and mixing is achieved. Strain over ice into an old-fashioned glass. Garnish with edible gold and smoked rosemary.

 

Amaretto Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

1 oz Amaretto

.5 oz Red Wine

.5 oz Maraschino Liqueur (such as Luxardo)

 2 oz Hot Cocoa of choice

Top with Whipped Cream and Garnish with Cinnamon Stick & pinch of Nutmeg

Directions:

Make hot cocoa and add the rest of the ingredients. Top with whipped cream, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg.

 

Peppermint White Russian Shake

Ingredients:
6 oz Cutwater Spirits White Russian
4 scoops Talenti Peppermint Bark Gelato
Chocolate Syrup
Whipped Cream
Crushed Candy Canes

Directions:
Blend the Talenti Peppermint Bark Gelato and Cutwater Spirits White Russian. Serve in a chocolate-drizzled glass and top with Whipped Cream and crushed Candy Canes.

 

Fireside Strawberries

Ingredients:

1.5oz Fresh Victor Strawberry & Lemon
2oz peated single malt (such as Laphroaig 10yr)
.5oz Drambuie
Optional garnish: Small piece of honeycomb and/or dehydrated strawberry

Directions:
In a cocktail shaker, add all ingredients, fill the shaker with ice, shake well (to chill and dilute) and strain up into a 7-9oz cocktail glass. Garnish with a small piece of honeycomb and/or a dehydrated strawberry.

 

Spiced Yuletide Eggnog Martini

Ingredients:

1 oz. Spiced Rum 

¾ oz. Monin® Peppermint Syrup

2 oz. Eggnog

Directions:

Chill serving glass. Pour ingredients into mixing glass with 2/3 ice in order listed. Cap, shake and strain into chilled serving glass. Add peppermint pieces, mint, and whipped cream garnish and serve.

 

Peppermint Winter Fizz

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz. Vodka

½ oz. Monin® Peppermint Syrup

½ oz. Monin® Dark Chocolate Sauce

½ oz. Half & Half

Directions:

Chill serving glass. Pour ingredients into mixing glass with 2/3 ice in order listed. Cap, shake and strain into chilled serving glass. Add garnish and serve.

 

Speyside Cider

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Speyburn 10 YO Speyside Single Malt

.5 oz Lillet Blanc

.5 oz fresh lemon juice 

Top 4 oz dry or brute cider

Directions:

Combine Speyburn, Lillet and lemon juice in cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top with cider and garnish with thin apple slices and a star anise.

 

Heering Old Fashioned

Ingredients:

1 part Heering

­­1 Part Rye Whiskey

1 barspoon Sugar Syrup

2 dashes of Angostura Bitters

Directions:

Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass and pour into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with orange zest and a cherry.

 

Holiday Berry Punch

Ingredients:

4 oz Smirnoff ICE Red, White & Merry Berry Punch

1 oz Smirnoff No. 21

5-6 blackberries

2 dashes Chocolate Bitters

Blackberries (garnish)

Directions: 

Crush blackberries and mix with Smirnoff No. 21 to create a blackberry puree. Stir into Smirnoff ICE Red, White & Merry Berry Punch. Fill the glass with ice and add chocolate bitters. Garnish with fresh blackberries.

 

Egan's Vinous Sour

Ingredients:

2 oz Egan's Irish Whiskey Fortitude

1 oz fresh lemon juice

.75 oz simple syrup

1 egg white

.75 oz light red wine

Directions:

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT the red wine in a shaker tin. Dry shake until pressure changes in the tin set. Add ice and shake until the tins frost over and the liquid sounds cushioned by froth. Double strain into a large rocks glass over a big ice cube. Gently pour the red wine over the top as a float. (But don't worry if it sinks! It will still taste great.)

 

Cuervo Nuevo

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Jose Cuervo® Tradicional® Plata Tequila

.5 oz Elderflower liqueur

2 oz Brut Champagne

2 oz Club soda

Directions:

Run a lemon wedge along half of the outer rim of a coupe and roll in gold edible glitter. Then set it aside. Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir gently, and strain into the prepared coupe glass.

 

Nog de Huevos

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz. Tanteo Navidad Tequila

2 Eggs (separated)

4 oz. Cream

4 oz. Whole milk

1 oz. Agave nectar (or simple syrup)  

Directions:

Mix egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Add tequila, cream and milk; mix until well blended. Separately, mix egg whites until stiff peaks from. Fold two mixtures together and serve in a Cocktail Glass. Garnish with ground nutmeg and cinnamon.

 

Bond Fire S’Mores

Ingredients:

1 oz Dos Hombres Mezcal

1.5 oz Brother’s Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey

2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

4 oz Cold Brew Coffee

Directions:

Measure all ingredients with jigger and pour into mug. Add ice and stir. Garnish with a toasted marshmallow.

 

Avaline Mulled Wine

Ingredients:

1 bottle of Avaline Red
1 Orange, peeled (about 6 peels) and then juiced (about 1.5 oz)
1 Lemon, peeled (about 6 peels)
4 Cinnamon Sticks
5 pieces Star Anise (whole)
5 pieces Cloves (whole)
5 pieces Allspice (whole)
1 Tbsp Organic Cane Sugar
1 Orange cut into half wheels (for garnish)

Directions:
Start by peeling your orange and lemon, then juice the orange. Set aside. Combine your spices in a large saucepan and toast on medium heat for a couple of minutes. Add the rest of your ingredients to the pan and let it sit until it starts to steam (about 30 seconds.) Reduce your heat to low, and let the ingredients simmer together for fifteen minutes. Strain and serve your wine in a mug-- we love to use heat resistant glass to let the rich color shine through. Garnish with an orange wheel, and sip to keep the chill away. 

 

Grand Sangria Rouge

Ingredients:

1.5 parts of Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge

3 parts Red Wine

2 parts Orange Juice

2 parts Lemon-Lime Soda

Directions:

Pour all of the ingredients in a wine glass, add ice, and stir.

 

Kraken Eggnog

Ingredients:

1 part Kraken 94 proof

4 parts Eggnog

Grated Cinnamon

Grated Nutmeg

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in an eggnog or highball glass and stir. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the top.

 

Chock Full O’ Cheer

Ingredients:

3 1oz Fresh Victor Pineapple & Ginger
3 2oz Fresh Victor Mexican Lime & Agave
3 1.5oz Jamaican rum
3 .5oz orgeat
3 3 dashes chocolate bitters
3 Optional garnish: A square of dark chocolate
and sprinkle of chopped almonds

Directions:
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker full of ice, shake well, and strain over crushed/pebble ice in a 10-12oz Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with chocolate and chopped almonds on top.
