Kris Jones and Damon Wayans Jr. were all set to deliver one of this year’s NxT Power talks at Nightclub & Bar 2020. They are the cofounders of 'Special Guest', an app designed to democratize booking talented performers and helping these entertainers find more opportunities to perform at live venues like bars, restaurants, and nightlife venues. COVID-19 had to potential to stop all of this but Wayans Jr. and Jones quickly made radical changes to their business model.
Bar & Restaurant discussed this innovation with the two co-founders and how on-premise venues can continue to host virtual events with live performances by entertainers to drive brand awareness, social engagement, and raise money for charitable causes.
