Tinman Social, a Massive Two-Story Social Venue in Texas, Aims to Bring Joy to Customers

In Little Elm, Texas, a new 35,000 square foot, two-story restaurant, bar and social venue is being built as a way to bring people together and create experiences. It’s called Tinman Social.

The unique facility will offer everything from indoor and outdoor dining to full-service bars, where guests can enjoy beautiful views, craft beverages and in-house attractions like bowling, axe throwing, arcade games, corn hole and more.

“With all the negativity in the world the past few years, we wanted to create a positive environment that brings joy to the community,” said Kenneth Wynn, founder and CEO of Tinman Social. “Every game, activity and detail of the layout is designed for people to gather and have fun together.”

Wynn had the idea for Tinman Social before the COVID-19 pandemic began (he’s been working on the idea with his son/co-founder for five years, and we wanted to do something “different”). Now, with his upcoming summer launch, his idea for the venue seems to resonate even more with people, as they seek experiences and outdoor venues where they can get back socializing with friends and family.

“I think the trend is heading this way,” said Wynn. “Outdoors seems to be the big draw."

In addition to offering dining options and libations, the social venue will boast 14 bowling lanes, 48 arcade games, six axe-throwing lanes, indoor and outdoor bocce ball areas, indoor and outdoor corn hole games, large fire pits and the opportunity to play “fowling” (football bowling). There’s also a spacious party and event room for use by guests.

“2020 was a challenging year for all of us,” explained Wynn. “There was so much negativity on the news and a feeling of isolation in our lives [during the COVID-19 pandemic]. People thought we were crazy to invest in a new social venue, but we wanted to build something more. We wanted to create a positive environment that brings families, friends and our community together.”

Besides creating a great space for people to enjoy, Wynn wanted to build the ideal environment and culture for his staff to work, which he explained is just as important.

“We believe that to create a fun place to gather, we need to make it a fun place to work,” shared Wynn. “Our vision is to enrich the lives of our team members and customers to make a positive impact on families, our community, and the world.”

Tinman Social’s robust food and beverage program will consist of menu items like chicken and waffles, pretzel charcuterie boards, french fry flights and other mouth-watering entrees, along with their specialty cocktail and craft beer menus. “Even our selection of menu items was carefully picked with sharing in mind," said Wynn.

Tinman Social is scheduled to open sometime this summer and it’s actively searching for qualified job candidates. “We've all worked for bad bosses before, so it's important for us to create a culture where everyone is treated with dignity and respect,” said Wynn. “We believe that the employee experience directly affects the customer experience, so we're very intentional about hiring staff who want to impact our community positively.”
