Mike "The Situation" Voted Most Desirable Valentine According to TouchTunes Annual Love Survey

NEW YORK – February 11, 2011— Looking for love? You might want to book a trip to the Jersey Shore. According to TouchTunes Interactive Network’s 2011 annual Love Survey, 30 percent of women voted Mike ‘The Situation’ as the male they would most like to spend Valentine’s Day with - beating out heartthrob Robert Pattinson (28 percent), funny man Stephen Colbert (14 percent) and king of all media Howard Stern (14 percent). In another surprising upset, more men picked Snooki (22 percent) as their ideal date on the 14th, beating out playboy model Kendra Wilkinson who claimed 19 percent of the vote.

This national survey was conducted by TouchTunes Interactive Networks, and ran on its fleet of digital jukeboxes nationwide during the first week in February. Results were pulled from the nearly 150,000 men and women over 21 who participated in the 2011 Love Survey. The TouchTunes poll taps into consumer sentiment on love and relationships in advance of Valentine’s Day, and has become one of the most popular surveys among TouchTunes patrons.

Other highlights from the survey results include:

36 percent of men and woman picked ‘The Sex is Good’ by Saving Abel as the song that best describes their current relationship, 22 percent picked ‘No One’ by Alicia Keys
45 percent of American’s would rather get their romantic advice from Hugh Hefner than Oprah Winfrey (22 percent)
‘Sexting’ ranks as most preferred way to show love electronically: 42 percent of men and woman picked ‘sexting’ as their favorite way to show their e-love, with Facebook coming in second at 34 percent and tweeting with only 9 percent.
American’s have more success finding love at the bar than through their friends or mothers: 36 percent of men and woman say they have had the most success finding love while at the bar vs. 31 percent who polled they had more success finding love through friends; Mothers ranked as the least successful source for finding romantic love with only 1 percent reporting success
Bad breath is a dating deal-breaker: 37 percent of men and women think bad breath is the biggest dating turn-off
TouchTunes Interactive Networks, one of the leading out-of-home interactive entertainment networks in North America, kicked off the Valentine’s Day Love Survey in tandem with the release and promotion of its updated Love Songs playlist. The survey and playlist promotion is running on the TouchTunes nationwide network of digital jukeboxes through February 14.
