According to Statista, in 2023, it was estimated that there would be 805,500 franchise establishments in the United States, with an economic output estimated to be roughly 860 billion U.S. dollars.
In this month's poll, we asked: Would your bar or restaurant consider switching their existing model to a franchise? Would you consider opening a franchise in lieu of an independent concept?
We also covered the topic in the recent article, "The Franchise Model: What Bar & Restaurant Operators Should Know About Becoming a Franchisor," which looked at the systems and processes a bar or restaurant needs to have in place to become a franchisor.
According to March's poll, there seems to be interest in the model—the majority of respondents would consider opening a franchise or moving an existing model to a franchise.
