Raise Money for Breast Cancer Awareness with these Pink Cocktail Recipes

October is most closely associated with Halloween, but it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This annual, international campaign, sometimes referred to as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, has taken place since 1985. The purpose is to increase awareness of this disease, and to raise money for the research of its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and a cure.

According to BreastCancer.org, nearly 12% of American women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime, while the risk for American men is roughly 1 in 1,000. A cure can’t come fast enough.

Many of us know family members, friends or coworkers who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Perhaps you are the one who received the diagnosis. While we never need a specific day, week or month to help our communities, operators have the opportunity to contribute to this cause this month.

Luckily, participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month is relatively simple for operators. For instance, you can choose to give 100% or a portion of the proceeds from specialty cocktails to breast cancer charities. Brands that participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month are available to support your efforts.

One such brand is Mionetto USA. The producers of Prestige Prosecco Brut and Prestige Rosé Extra Dry are in the midst of their third annual Pink Cork for the Cause charitable program. On the off-premise side of the fence, pink corks have been hidden in promotion bottles of the aforementioned Prosecco, and those who find them will be entered into a grand prize drawing for the chance to win a $10,000 donation made by Mionetto USA to the breast cancer charity of their choice.

And on the on-premise side, you can do your part to raise awareness and donate to breast cancer charities by featuring these pink Mionetto cocktails on a special menu from now through Halloween.

Cheers!
