Chicago, IL – Wirtz Beverage Illinois today announced the appointment of Dave Walsh to a newly established position as Vice President of Commercial Strategy. Walsh, who brings 23 years of industry experience, will be a key member of the Wirtz Beverage Illinois executive team. The position is effective July 1, 2010.
Walsh will oversee Wirtz Beverage Illinois’ execution of OneWirtz, a company-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This system is the most significant financial and organizational investment to date to enhance business operations nationwide. Walsh’s efforts will focus exclusively on the Illinois operations and will help ensure transparency and information sharing both internally and externally. He will report to Julian Burzynski, Senior Vice President of Wirtz Beverage Illinois.

His proven leadership ability and sound problem solving skills will be valuable in the development and implementation of strategies to capitalize on this potential.”
Prior to his new role, Walsh served as Director of Sales for Wirtz Beverage Illinois’ Spectrum Division in addition to numerous other roles with the company.
