Maker's Mark, the iconic small-batch bourbon brand that believes character isn’t made by machine but comes from individuals, has been chosen by YouTube to showcase the video-sharing site's 180-degree Magic Window technology.
YouTube's Magic Window tech gives brands the ability to interact with viewers by eschewing traditional video-viewing methods. Instead, viewers can break the proverbial "fourth wall" by moving their mouse or mobile device a complete 180 degrees to "navigate" a video.
Clearly, this is a game changer in terms of advertising and customer engagement. Continue reading below to watch the video!
Maker’s Mark collaborated with YouTube sensation Kurt Hugo Schneider for this innovative 180-degree video ad. The YouTube star is seen directing the action and accompanying singer Will Champlin, formerly of The Voice, to deliver a warm and rousing rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" using the melodic sounds of rocks glasses, cocktail shakers and a bottle of Maker’s Mark.
