Nightclub & Bar Show Releases 2019 Entrepreneur Awards Program Winners

LAS VEGAS—The 2019 Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show has selected three winners for its Entrepreneurs Awards program, including Jorge Hidalgo, Co-Founder of LIBRE Spirits; Tealye Long, Partner of Chufly Imports; and Richard Lee, CEO of Basic Straws.

“The Entrepreneur Awards program is one that we are particularly proud to bring back to the 2019 NCB Show,” said Tim McLucas, Group Sales Director of Nightclub & Bar Show. “We received dozens of entries, but these three brands represented a select group of small businesses that are spearheading the creation of innovative products that are going to change the face of the bar and nightlife industry.”

LIBRE Spirits was created in the mind of an ex-Mormon Mexican immigrant, organized by a North Carolina native and funded by a successful blue-collar family business man. LIBRE Tequila has designed products that combine the highest quality of 100 percent Weber Blue Agave Tequila and infused it with non-traditional, natural flavors to product a truly radical tequila experience. LIBRE Tequila’s production is so clean, so direct that it is offered completely raw and un-cut.

"With our feet firmly planted in a rich tradition of quality Tequila production, LIBRE was formed to create a totally NON-Traditional Tequila experience. Our traditional offering of Silver, Anejo and rarely-offered-by-others Super Silver cement our pedigree as a true-blue highland Tequila first. We then take preconceived notions of Tequila and shatter them with our non-traditional expressions, which gently re-introduce Tequila to those who had previously written it off with a bad college experience. Our unique blends also entice those from other categories of liquor with a side-door entrance to the wonderful world of Tequila,” said Jorge Hidalgo, LIBRE Spirits.

Chufly Imports represents premium Bolivian wine and Singani that offers nearly 500 years of wine-making tradition at some of the highest elevations in the world in every bottle. The company’s mission is to make a difference beyond the traditional business model and hopes to create socioeconomic impact in South America’s poorest country through the distribution of its products.

“The wine and spirits industry is crazy competitive, flush with immense marketing budgets, and absolutely packed with dope entrepreneurs. For Chufly Imports, the Entrepreneur Award is proof a small, social-impact business can resonate in America’s crowded booze industry. Most importantly, this Award will help us reach our end-goal of lifting hundreds of families from extreme poverty through Bolivia’s finest wine and Singani,” said Chufly Imports, Ramón Escobar & Tealye Long.

Basic Straws is dedicated to promoting environmentally friendly alternatives in the food and beverage supplies industry. The company provides premium quality paper straws to restaurants, resorts, event spaces and bars across the United States.

“Winning the 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year award is a huge milestone for the company. What an honor it is for Basic Straws to be sharing the national stage with the best and most innovative companies at the 34th Annual NCB show,” said Richard Lee, Basic Straws.

Each winner receives a 10x10 ready-to-expo booth space on the show floor during the 2019 Nightclub & Bar Show, visit with Jon Taffer, Chairman of Nightclub & Bar and star of “Bar Rescue,” two (2) VIP Passes for the Nightclub & Bar Show conference program and nightly events, and an award with photo opportunity.
