Say ‘I Love You’ with a Hidden Valley Ranch Lab-Grown Diamond

Oh, what a time to be alive. We’re living in an era of McDonald’s NFTs, wedding cake NFTs, virtual bottles of  PATRÓN tequila, burger-flipping robots and now: diamonds made of ranch seasoning. Because nothing says ‘I love you’ like the compressed carbon molecules of your favorite creamy dressing.

Today, Hidden Valley Ranch debuted their first-ever ranch-made diamond. And when I say ‘ranch-made’, I mean, very literally, the diamond is made of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning.

The Ranch Diamond from Hidden Valley (as it’s officially known) is a 2 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It was created in a lab by heating Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning to 2,500 degrees, then crushing the resulting carbon under 400 tons of pressure for five months. The finished diamond was then polished and set in a 14K white gold band.

The delicate band is engraved with “HVR LVR”, an abbreviation of ‘Hidden Valley Ranch Lover’, so everyone knows how you really feel.

The ring is so beautiful, no one would even know it was dairy.

"Last year, when one of our custom Valentine's Day bottles was used in a marriage proposal, we were inspired," said Deb Crandall, Marketing Director at Hidden Valley Ranch. "We saw a love of ranch become part of one of life's most beautiful moments. It made us wonder, how can we make this act of love even more memorable?"

The official announcement from Hidden Valley says that, and I quote, “At 2 carats, it brings sparkle to everyday activities – including dipping pizza, wings or French fries in ranch.”

The Ranch Diamond is being auctioned online through March 17th. Bidding opened at $310 (in honor of the date, March 10th, which also happens to be National Ranch Day). At the time of publication, the current bid is $11,250. The winner will have their ranch rock by March 20th, which is National Proposal Day.

Someone give their marketing team a raise, because this is just great.

All proceeds from the auction will benefit Feeding America, and every dollar raised will help provide at least 10 meals. Bid on it here.
