Sample Innovative Cocktails at The Bar, Returning to Bar & Restaurant Expo

The Bar returns to Bar & Restaurant Expo and will provide an immersive experience to sample future drink trends.

Located on the expo hall floor and open Tuesday and Wednesday, attendees are invited to take a seat at this experiential bar and meet with mixologists, industry suppliers, and leaders demonstrating ways to help you achieve the level of growth you’ve been striving for behind the bar. 

Sample inspirational new beverage recipes (all complimentary!), test drive new products, and demo equipment including refrigerators, glassware, technology, accessories, and furniture.

All cocktails are created by Mixologist Chris Hopkins, founder of Hashtag Mixology, a veteran of the hospitality industry with over 20 years of experience. Chris has been involved in every facet of the hospitality world since he began his international career many years ago in his hometown of Perth, Western Australia. From catering and event management, to running beverage programs in Las Vegas' most prestigious resorts, Chris has an outstanding resume of global hands-on hospitality experience.

The Claw

Ingredients:

2 oz White Claw Pineapple

0.5 oz Lime juice

0.5 oz Boiron Passionfruit

Fill ginger beer

Directions:

Shake and strain into a Collins glass filled with cubelet ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a lime wedge.

Miami's Vices

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Koloa Coconut Rum

0.75 OZ Strawbar

3 OZ Guava-Limeade*

Directions:

For the Guava-Limeade, combine Boiron Guava, fresh lime, and calamansi with sugar and water. For the cocktail, shake all ingredients and strain into a Collins glass filled with cubelet ice. Garnish with a lime.

Cold Brewed Fashioned

Ingredients:

1 oz HardTank Coffee Infushed with Uncle Nearest 1856

1 oz Uncle Nearest Rye

2 Dashes cacao bitters

0.25 oz Maple syrup 

Directions:

Infuse the coffee with Uncle Nearest. For the cocktail, stir all ingredients together and strain into an old fashioned glass with a sphere ice cube. Garnish with a Stonewall Kitchen cherry.

Hola Papi

Ingredients:

2 oz Lemon Myrtle Infused Padrecito Tequila 

0.5 oz Blood orange juice 

Top with Grapefruit Topo Chico

Pinch of salt

Directions:

Build cocktail in a Collins glass with cubelet ice. Top with Topo Chico. Garnish with a pinch of salt.
