As the world has changed, so have we. Bar & Restaurant Expo, formerly Nightclub & Bar, is excited to welcome food and beverage operators back to Las Vegas for our 2022 show, a live, in-person event happening March 21-23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

For 35 years, Nightclub & Bar Show was North America’s premier industry event. Bar & Restaurant Expo is ready to continue the tradition, providing our restaurant and bar audience with world class education and opportunities that you’ve grown to expect.

We have so many exciting things to share with you about the show, from our incredible new exhibitors, keynote speakers, celebrity guests, VIP parties and more. But for now, we want to introduce you to a few of our speakers at this year’s conference.

Bar & Restaurant Expo is known for our top-tier educational programming. Last year was our strongest program yet (if you missed it, you can watch our recorded sessions here), but this year is going to be even better. We’re bringing together top industry thought leaders for three days of programming, covering food & beverage, guest experience, staffing, operations, marketing, and technology.

We’ll be announcing our full speaker lineup over the next few weeks, but for now, read on for a preview of who will be speaking at this year’s Bar & Restaurant Expo.

Amie Ward

Amie Ward, better known as ‘The Healthtender’ is presenting “Hospitality #MeToo: 3 Ways to Build a Culture of Safety and Respect”, a three-hour workshop on behalf of Safe Bars. Ward is a celebrated wellness advocate within the industry, teaching movement classes for the bartending community, and facilitating Bystander Intervention and De-Escalation workshops through Safe Bars. Brian Duffy

Celebrity chef Brian Duffy is back! Chef Duffy serves on our Executive Council and serves as the show’s Culinary Director, but he always makes time to speak at our conference program. Chef Duffy brings his years of experience, both as a chef and a consultant, to the conference. His engaging sessions empower operators with real-time feedback on their menus and methods to help them maximize profit and improve their business acumen. When he’s not on television, you can find Chef Duffy traveling the country to support operators, or hanging out at home in Philadelphia with his daughters and adorable pit bull. Daniel Rodriguez

Over the past five years, agave spirit consumption has skyrocketed in the United States. Today, tequila and agave are some of the fastest growing spirits categories in the country. It’s time to start approaching agave spirits with the same reverence the industry holds for wine and whiskey. That’s where Daniel Rodriguez, ‘The Mezcal Sommelier’ comes in. The founder of The Agave Spirits Institute will be presenting an abridged version of their Level 1 Mezcal Specialist certification. This 45-minute session will provide a detailed introduction to agave spirits, and include a tasting for hands-on education that will empower you to better serve and sell agave spirits at your venue.

Homan Taghdiri, co-founder of Invictus Hospitality, a full-service hospitality consultancy, consistently delivers some of our most popular conference sessions. This year, we’re excited to welcome him to the show to present a 45-minute session, “Understanding the Leasing Game & How to Get Ahead”. Here, Taghdiri combines his lifetime of hospitality experience with his background in real estate law to offer operators actionable, understandable advice relating to their real estate lease. TaChelle Lawson

Don’t miss TaChelle Lawson’s session, “Dynamic Growth Through Inclusive Culture,” which addresses the true business value of diversity. In addition to being one of our Executive Council members, Lawson is an accomplished entrepreneur, mentor and consultant with over 20 years’ of experience in the hospitality industry. She has worked with some of the world’s largest brands to drive revenue, increase brand awareness and improve product positioning. This will be her second time presenting at the, and we’re thrilled to have her back!
